Pam Jagger

Dr. Pam Jagger (Jagger CV) is an Applied Political Economist and Professor at the School of Environment and Sustainability at the University of Michigan. Her broad research focus is estimating the human welfare and environmental impacts of environment and development policies and projects. She has written extensively on poverty and environment linkages, forest governance, energy poverty, and evaluating the social impacts of forest-based climate mitigation strategies. She has led major field research projects in Bangladesh, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Myanmar, Uganda, and Zimbabwe. She leads the FUEL Lab.

Congyi Dai

Congyi Dai is a PhD candidate at the University of Michigan, School of Environment and Sustainability. His research focuses on sub-Saharan Africa’s energy access and Chinese investment in Africa’s energy sector. Congyi holds an MPA in Public Policy Analysis from Texas A&M University. He is currently a Global China Fellow at the Boston University Global Development Policy Center.

Andrea Mahieu

Andrea Mahieu is a Research Analyst at the University of Michigan, School of Environment and Sustainability. Her research focuses on energy poverty in sub-Saharan Africa, as well as climate resilience. Andrea holds an MS in Environment and Sustainability from the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability and a BA in International Development from UCLA.
